for Hardys Wines
Hardys Wines is one of Australia’s largest winemakers and Accolade Wines’ flagship label. Hardys required a website with a highly visual focus with less words and more imagery to showcase their wine with a sense of minimalism.
In addition to the main navigation icon, a range icon also appears within the utility navigation area at the top which provides instant access to a particular range.
With over 120 wines and 20 ranges available in multiple global markets, the site needed to allow for variations in content and features across the regions including an online shop exclusive to the Australian market.
Our solution was to create a multi-regional website and Australian online shop employing a clean design with rich content and high quality imagery. We provided dynamic content blocks which allow for more variation and customisation of content throughout the site whilst maintaining a consistent level of quality and look and feel. Given the large number of wines Hardys produce, this flexibility also permits each wine to incorporate a depth and range of content reflecting its unique qualities.
Updating the visual language
We updated the digital visual language by introducing a new typography and colour system. The aim of the new Hardys site was to reflect a contemporary and modern look and feel that encapsulated the brands long heritage. Thomas Hardy created the company over 160 years ago with a vision “to create wines that would be prized in the markets of the world”.
